Live Music: Sundy Best
When you look at the recent output of Sundy Best, the Lexington, Ky.-bred duo comprising Kris Bentley and Nick Jamerson, you certainly see they have the “quantity” side taken care of. Since signing with eOne Music in 2013, the band has released three separate studio projects — a deluxe version of their independently produced album Door Without A Screen, early 2014’s Bring Up The Sun, and now, a brand new collection of songs titled Salvation City, their second effort working with veteran producer RS Field (Justin Townes Earle, Allison Moorer, Todd Snider, Webb Wilder, Sonny Landreth.)

Therapeutically Advancing Your Practice
Advanced, but all levels? How? Moving forward and practicing more advanced postures is gratifying and fun, but our ambitions to go deeper into asana can also become injurious. In this workshop, we learn how to have your cake and eat it too—heal, keep your body healthy, and advance your practice. With proper biomechanics, we open energy lines in the body that promote healing–not destruction. Specific actions in our practice help the body feel safe and relax the nervous system, allowing muscles to release and giving us the power to dive deep into poses with ease. Keep your practice fun, advanced and therapeutic. This is appropriate for students of all levels, looking to find new depth in their practice.

Curious Observation
Getting CURIOUS in our asanas is an invitation to take this practice off our mats and into our world. We are so quick to react, judge, make assumptions and criticize. Through our practice we OBSERVE our bodies in our postures, we OBSERVE our emotions and limiting thought patterns. When we can slow down enough to get CURIOUS about these things and to explore ourselves we begin to be less attached to the way we think we SHOULD be, we surrender our expectations, and dive fully into who we are with LOVE, COMPASSION, and KINDNESS. Travel through this playful vinyasa to get your heart pumping with mindful holds to encourage curious observation and end in Sweet Sacred Conversation.

Rise and Write
Wake up early Sunday and get your body and mind moving with some fun improv games and writing prompts. You will laugh and create connections with the other group members. To get your creative juices flowing, you will have a timed writing session with the opportunity to share your story with the group.
Teri spent several weeks studying these exercises and techniques at the Esalen Institute and has enjoyed adding them to her yoga retreats, workshops and trainings. Writing and sharing stories helps us see ourselves in each other.
Come see how writing and improv exercises can enhance your yoga and inner exploration practice. The willingness to laugh and have fun will take you farther on your journey!
