What is self-compassion? We will break it down and discuss the common reasons why so many women struggle with bein self-compassionate. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your own thinking and emotional patterns related to how you tend to treat yourself in painful, difficult moments. We will look into methods to increase mindful awareness of any tendencies to be self-critical. Simple, straightforward practices will be introduced that will allow you to more consistently access the resources already within you. You will learn strategies enabling you to befriend and soothe yourself and improve your capacity to respond to challenges with clarity and wisdom instead of fear or self-doubt. Will will learn how the art of self-compassion relates to our ability to navigate our roles and identity as women in today's society. There will be an experienctial focus throughout, allowing you the change to practice these self-compassion inquiries, strategies, and meditations throughout the class.
